Field studies
Turf Trials – ARG have access to a wide variety of sites which allows us to conduct thorough investigation, testing and analysis for each individual project, including disease management.
Multi-Site Studies – where it is necessary to evaluate ideas or products across various climatic and environmental conditions, we will engage with additional partners and facilities to achieve maximum data and provide detailed reports.
ARG will also support end user evaluations.
Glasshouse studies
ARG conduct a range of studies evaluating efficacy, selectivity, and residue in the amenity turf, horticulture and agricultural industries, these include:
Efficacy and Plant Safety Testing
Phytotoxicity, Efficacy and Germination response
Assessments of growing media
Application and Dose Rate Response
Replicated trials to match customers brief
Laboratory Studies- Physical Chemical Properties
ARG laboratory will conduct specific services as listed below and when required will develop and design additional tests to suit particular needs:
Product Formulation Screening
Tank Mix Compatibility
Ambient and accelerated storage stability
Low Temperature and freeze/thaw cycle Storage Stability
Laboratory Studies- Soil Organism
ARG have devised in-house test methods to test the effect of HITAS formulations on soil bourne microbes, combination with an independent laboratory. This includes testing HITAS range of surfactants, biostimulants and microbial inoculant products and their effects on soil microbes and also the effectiveness of microbial based products, like Trichoderma and Mycorrhiza. Such testing includes:
Active soil bacterial counts
Active Fungi counts
Hyphal Diameter
Total Microbial Community
ARG will work closely with you at all stages of the consultancy process, from initial ideas and feasibility through to solutions and setting up of testing protocols. Thus, ensuring valuable, informative, and comprehensive data is provided upon completion including best practice guidelines.
Laboratory Studies- Plant Biostimulant & Rooting
Plant biostimulants contain substances and/or microorganisms whose function when applied to plants or to soil is to stimulate natural processes to enhance or benefit nutrient uptake, nutrient efficiency, tolerance to abiotic stress and crop quality. Biostimulants are now formally recognised by the European Union regulations.
Agronomy research group can undertake Digital rooting studies for newly developed or existing products. Root length, mass, diameter and surface area can all be analysed by the digital software to demonstrate product claims and justify product performance.
Turfgrass Agronomic Support
HITAS offers site assessments to check the sports turf and provide a comprehensive report based on the testing and evaluation services as below:
Water Analysis
Core Sample Analysis
Water Repellency Testing
Weed, Disease and Pest Diagnosis
Plant Rooting Assessment
Rootzone Condition Assessment
Plant Nutrient Availability
ARG will work closely with you at all stages of the consultancy process, from initial ideas and feasibility through to solutions and setting up of testing protocols. Thus, ensuring valuable, informative, and comprehensive data is provided upon completion including best practice guidelines.
